Clubs and Activities
East High School is unique in the city in that we are still largely on a traditional bell schedule, allowing all our students to take lunch at the same time. For that reason, our many clubs and activities have a natural meeting time that allows groups to meet.
At the start of the year, our National Honor Society hosts Club Rush during lunch to highlight various clubs on the front lawn, allowing students to see what various clubs have to offer.
In addition, every year in September we put on the Big Do, an evening showcase of clubs and activities on our front lawn. The event is open to the community, and it's a great opportunity for fundraising, as most groups use the showcase to sell food, drink, or even objects that the club members create (magnets, stickers, art, etc.).
