IB Applicant Checklist
Thank you for your interest in the East High International Baccalaureate Program. Please use the checklist below to guide you through the IB application process. It is your responsibility to check with your teachers, counselor, and middle school registrar/secretary to ensure that they have submitted the requested information. Only online applications will be processed. Links for online submissions are found in the application area of our East High IB Program web site. ALL portions of your application: online demographic information, two online teacher references, middle school transcript, and IB admissions testing reservations are due by Friday, January 31, 2025.
- On-Line Application: This is required. Online applications will open Oct 7, 2024. Apply here!
- Admissions Testing: Applicants must register for ONE of the testing sessions listed below. Reservations are completed through the online application process. Space is limited at each testing session. Applicants will take critical thinking and writing exams. A math exam which DOES NOT impact admission to the program but enables math placement will also be administered.
- Saturday, January 25, 2025 from 9:00am-11:00am
- Saturday, January 25, 2025 from 1:00pm-3:00pm
- Saturday, February 1, 2025 from 9:00am-11:00am
- Testing Location for all sessions: East High School Main Entrance (located on the south side of the building)
- Teacher References: Two current classroom teacher references from Language Arts, Social Studies, Math, Science or World Languages.
** Teachers must complete the reference online by Friday, January 31, 2025
- Middle school transcript (Parents must request that your middle school send a transcript to the EHS IB Program by Friday, January 31, 2025.)
- Pre-enrollment: After the selection committee reviews all applications, certain students will be invited to pre-enroll. The IB Program will mail letters to all applicants during the 2nd full week of February notifying them of their status as accepted or not accepted. Those applicants who are not invited may ask to be placed on a waiting list. Pre-enrollment dates are Saturday, February 22, 2025, and Saturday, March 1, 2025.
