Applying to Join East IB
The Application Process
Welcome, and thank you for your interest in the East High International Baccalaureate Program! To apply for admission for the 2026-2027 school year, click on the link below:
- The admissions application for the 2026-2027 school year opens on October 6, 2025.
- The application window will close on January 30, 2026.
- Decision letters will be delivered no later than February 27, 2026.
- Ms. Ana Lopez will reach out to you closer to the application due date if you are missing any piece of the application.
Testing Sessions
You will need to sign up for ONE testing session to complete your application. You will select ONE admissions test session in the application itself. Those session dates and times are:
- Session 1: Saturday, January 24, 2026, 9:00 - 11:00 am
- Session 2: Saturday, January 31, 2026, 9:00 - 11:00 am
- Session 3: Saturday, January 31, 2026, 1:00 - 3:00 pm
If you need to change your test session, please contact Ana Lopez at 973-7017 to reschedule.
Teacher References
Two Teacher References are required as part of the application process. Teachers may complete their references here. You will also list those teachers in your application, and they will be emailed this link directly.
Parent Overview Meetings
IB Parent Overview Meetings will be held on Tuesday, December 2, and Thursday, January 8, from 6-7 pm in the East High Commons, Room C207. The overview meetings will give you insight into East High and the IB Program, as well as give you an opportunity to meet the IB Leadership Team. Attendance is not mandatory. If you choose to attend, you will only need to attend one of the meetings.
Shadow Visits
Applicants are welcome to spend a morning as an East IB 'Shadow' where they will be following a partial schedule of IB classes and interacting with IB students and staff, giving them a real sense of what life is like for IB students at East High. Visitors will attend four different IB classes, hear insights from current IB students about the program, and enjoy a free pizza lunch! Interested in participating in an East High IB Shadow Day?
