Secretary Robert Gates addresses Class of 2009

On May 27th United States Secretary of Defense Robert Gates addressed the Class of 2009 at Koch Arena. Invited by senior Katherine Thomas to speak, Gates delivered his remarks with humor and humility, stating that he was "foremost a kid who grew up in Kansas and got lucky." He also encouraged students to pursue leadership and service opportunities.
