The IBPA is the IB Parents Association, founded and run by the parents of the IB students at East High. It is a non-profit organization whose aim is to promote the welfare and interest of the students in the East High International Baccalaureate Diploma program and provide an outstanding academic environment for all of the students.

The IBPA usually holds its monthly meetings the third Thursday of the month at 1 pm.

2007-2008 Financial Overview

IB parents donated $6, 878 during the 2007-2008 school year. The IBPA does not sponsor any product-based fundraisers, but asks IB parents to contribute. Our goal is to have 100% of our parents giving. From $5 to $500, we appreciate and use it all. The IBPA was able to fund 24 teacher requests last year for a total amount of $7,560.18. IBPA also hosts an annual Faculty Appreciation Luncheon each fall during an in-service day to express our gratitude to those who work with our children every day. IBPA places a top priority on financial aid to any student who needs assistance with payment of the IB exam fees.

2007-08 funded teacher requests included: IB test fees, student copies of IB English plays, ten economy spark timers, Physics Today magazine and on-line subscription, 125 pre-college planners, five historical DVD sets, guest artists & speakers and more!

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact any IBPA officer. Thank you.
