Library of Congress has a new American Memory Collection: "Freedom's Fortress: The Library of Congress, 193901953"

American Memory is a gateway to rich primary source materials relating to the history and culture of the United States.

PBS offers a web site dedicated to original activities tied with PBS programming.

Kansas History Homepage

Kansas University has a gateway to Kansas History links.

Documents for the Study of American History is also from Kansas University.

EyeWitness -- history through the eyes of those who lived it.

Historical Archives also has sites relating to specific geographic regions.

New Perspectives on the West also from PBS has insights into the nation's frontier history.

The History Net has numerous articles relating to American History, Wars, and more.

A&E's Biography Site has a searchable index of biographies of famous figures throughout history.

Hyper History is an excellent comprehensive history site, working mainly on showing how one event or one era affects another.

Online Biography is searchable by name, date, or keyword.

American Age of Imperialism

Another Library of Congress Site this one focusing on Events, People, Time and Places of American History.

Establishing Borders: The Expansion of the United States, 1846 - 48

Federal Court Concepts has an introduction to the U.S. Federal Court system.

A More Perfect Union: Japanese Americans and the U.S. Constitution offers a look at the Japanese internment camps of World War II.

United We Stand provides primary source documents that students use to examine the working conditions of U.S. laborers at the turn century and addresses the need of organized labor unions.
